Boise Centre Achieves Another Record Year of Economic Impact in 2025
Convention Center Generated $51.2 Million for the Treasure Valley Economy

BOISE, Idaho (Jan. 7, 2026)- Boise Centre, Idaho’s largest convention center, welcomed more than 170,000 attendees to 278 conventions, conferences, meetings, banquets, tradeshows and local events in fiscal year 2025, creating significant economic benefit for the Treasure Valley. Final tallies for the fiscal year, which ended Nov. 30, show Boise Centre helped boost the local economy by $51.2 million—another record year for economic impact.

“This record year demonstrates the strong demand for what Boise Centre brings to our community. The market and feasibility study we completed last fall confirmed what we’ve been experiencing—we’re operating near capacity and there is significant opportunity for growth,” said Kristin Muchow, Chair of the Greater Boise Auditorium District Board of Directors, which oversees Boise Centre. “As we update our strategic plan, the Board will carefully evaluate how we can build on this momentum—whether through enhancing our current facilities or exploring new investments—to ensure we’re meeting our community’s needs and continuing to drive economic growth.”

Attendees of events at Boise Centre create a strong demand for local lodging, restaurants, breweries, pubs, shops, entertainment and recreational opportunities. Out of town visitors attending events generate almost four times the economic impact of local attendees, according to the 2015 Fiscal Impacts of Boise Centre Meetings and Conventions Study conducted by Boise State University Center for Business Research & Economic Development.

  • In April, CellCore Biosciences held ECO 2025 at Boise Centre. The four-day convention drew 625 attendees and generated an estimated $1.2 million in local economic impact.
  • In October, Boise Centre welcomed the 2025 Idaho Mining Conference. The two-day event drew 1,250 attendees and generated an estimated $1.1 million in local economic impact.

In 2025, Boise Centre reinvested $2.37 million in facility improvements to enhance the event and guest experience. The refresh included painting, replacing carpet and wallcoverings throughout the venue’s meeting rooms, ballrooms, hallways and lobby spaces. Digital signage throughout the venue was also upgraded to larger dynamic displays, with wayfinding displays and a video wall added in lobby spaces.

“Maintaining Boise Centre in top-notch condition is a priority. We place a high level of importance on creating positive guest experiences,” said Cody Lund, Boise Centre Executive Director. “We’ve received positive comments from guests and event organizers on the interior transformation to a palette of modern neutrals with elegant metallic accents and an inviting contrasts in patterns.”

Looking ahead, a new dual concept AC and Element Hotel with 296 rooms is anticipated to open in mid-2026, just two blocks from Boise Centre. With the new hotel property, there will be 15 hotels and a combined 1,900 rooms within walking distance of Boise Centre.
